A girl named Zuru goes on a journey to find food for her village, only to inadvertently cause doom when an observation tower senses her and summons a Safeguard pack to eliminate the threat. With her companions dead and all escape routes blocked, the only thing that can save her now is the sudden arrival of Kiri the Wanderer, on his quest for the Net Terminal Genes, the key to restoring order to the world. I&#39;m what you can call die hard fan of Blame! manga and all Nihei work. It is great.<br/><br/>The movie is really good even great for periods and I enjoyed watching very much.<br/><br/>It is adaptation of just one or few chapters of manga I don&#39;t remember cause Blame! is that kind of masterpiece where you loose track of time and spiritually dive into the imagination which is in the case of Blame1 atmospheric, futuristic, cyberspace punk, technology enhanced mystic, multilayered, action, dystopian… and many more which you will find out.<br/><br/>The movie is action oriented, but atmospheric, and captures these chapters, at both action and atmospheric places truly.<br/><br/>Please keep up the great work. No spoilers. Worth a watch, and delivers what it should, but it&#39;s another &quot;movie&quot; without resolve. In the days before the machines took over (our world, not this movie), movies used to have endings and complete themselves. Now, everything ends on a continuing story.<br/><br/>I thought this like a great stand alone sci-fi anime, and stuff happens and stuff completes happening, yet it doesn&#39;t &quot;End&quot; with a solution. Just sets up for potential series, I suppose. Might not have watched it if I had known it didn&#39;t have an ending. Maybe this will save others. Still, it was very good in what it did. If it had an ending, I would have given it an 8 or 9. As is, 6 is all I could muster.
